Living in Power, Love and a Sound Mind

standLiving in Power, Love and a Sound Mind

2 Timothy 1:7 for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Many people live in fear. Some because of an unhappy experience others because of an unhappy childhood and there are many who live in fear of an abusive person or persons. That’s not what God has planed for us; we are supposed to live in power, love and a sound mind.

How that is possible you ask when you feel powerless and unloved and your mind is unable to think straight. We all go through hurt and pain, and at times feel hopeless. Let’s see what we can learn from 2 Timothy 1:7
• God gave us a gift. He will never take back that gift.
• The gift of power. It’s inside you; it will take practice to get that power active in your daily life. But, if you spent time in prayer and the word of God you will soon become more aware of what God Sais then what the enemy Sais. Developing the power to stand against the enemy, read Ephesians 6:10-20 the whole armor of God.
• The gift of love. Gods love is not like that of human love or the expression thereof. His love is beyond human understanding. And He has given us this kind of love! Amazing love read 1 Corinthians 13 the greatest love.
Some of the characteristics of love in 1 Corinthians 13
Love suffers long.
Does not behave rudely.
Does not rejoice in iniquity
Bears all things,
Believes all things
Hopes all things
Love never fails
• The gift of a Sound Mind. This is a sense of peace and contentment. When we worry we can not think straight, because it creates tension and stress. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Remain calm in the midst of trouble, memorize John 14:27 and remember it at all times. Learn other scripture about this topic and study it when you find yourself in fear, these verses will come to mind and help you through moments of hardship.

In conclusion I want to say that God is faithful, I have in my 34 years of being a born again Christian seen God do amazing things in my life. I have lived in fear, and I have trusted God to help me and He did. So, take it from me, study the Word of God and find the scriptures that apply to your life and your situation it will carry you to great heights and God will never fail you I know that for sure.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  come back soon!
